Chrome Bar?

 

I don't like it.

It's showing up on every Chevy, and seems to be a common theme among the grilles of chevy cars/trucks. Wouldn't be surprised to see one on the future 5th gen. The only car that's probably safe from this wretched bar is the vette, which pretty much is on its own as far as design/engineering. And i'm sure they don't want to associate themselves with the other chevy cars.

 

It seems to work op Chevy trucks... that's the whole reason they are trying it on Chevy cars...

Well, it does work on the trucks... but it does nothing at all for the cars...

I don't mind it on trucks at all. Looks downright stupid on cars. Maybe the question should've included the "on cars" part, but either way I hope the Chevy people look at this poll.

 

I voted no. If they do it, they better make it look good, not just tacked on there just because all the other Chevy's got it.

 

Yup that was me. He didn't say Cars or Trucks and since I see it on more trucks and like it, I voted yes.

The cars don't look too bad with it, but it also doesn't make them look better, I think it looks like crap on the 02-03 Malibu and Venture, it is one thing if it is intergrated into the design, but not cool when it is just slaped on.

Hey we nearly all hate it! Great! For once we nearly all agree on something . It doesn't belong on a 5th gen for sure... it would screw up the lines of any sporty car. If people like it on their trucks so be it, but not on a performance car.

A small tasteful emblem (like the recent Camaro emblem) is sufficient. I don't see why I should pay XX thousand dollars to advertise in screaming CAPS that I drive a Chevy. GM are you listening???

 

I like it on the trucks, and I don't really mind it on the Impala, but that's it. I loath the front of the new Malibu because of that thing!

 

No bar - keep it on the trucks if you must (frankly, I think it's way overdone with the current truck styling theme), but keep it the hell away from the cars!

 

For some reason, I didn't see the option for "Hell no, I will castrate every GM designer that has anything to do with a chrome bar on a Camaro". So, I picked simply "no chrome bar".

 

I don't mind the bar, but wish it were the same color as the rest of the body, or maybe black

My 96 impy SS has a body-colored bar with the chevy emblem in the middle and looks good to me
