I could maybe understand Chevy changing models, but I don't quite get why Dodge would switch to the Avenger.

So that Toyota can't lay claim to having the only domestically-built vehicle in the series?

What are you talking about?! The Impala is built here in Canada . Sorry it's not "Made in America" (where's the TM symbol for that statement? ) but it's still North American, and is still "domestic" IMO?

So now instead of not watching what is painted like a Monte Carlo turn left for 400 miles, I won't be watching what is painted like a Impala turn left for 400 miles.

You know what, I bet they checked NASCAR's modern demographics and found this was exactly the case.

If the audience is buying Camrys and Impalas, why try to sell them Monte Carlos and Chargers?
