Re: Chevrolet Colorado Rally Concept

I will be in the market for a new daily driver in the next 2-3 years, possibly less.

I need something with:
  • Room for passengers
  • AWD/4WD
  • Reasonable gas mileage
  • Moderate towing ability
  • Ample gear storage options
  • Good for urban use as well as non-urban use
  • Adequate for travel during the impending zombie apocalypse

As it stands right now, Chevrolet needs to build something like this, or I will have to buy Jeep. I don't want to...but I need what I need.

Our 2005 Grand Cherokee fits all those requirements, at least in my mind.

It would be nice to not have to wait a 2nd decade to get a decent small truck from GM. BUILD THIS PLEASE.

I have a 2000 Grand Cherokee Limited right now with 109k miles...but is still in good shape. It will go to my son in a couple of years as his first car.

By then, I will be due for something new.

I love the idea of this truck. Not crazy about the design though.

The raptor is a nice looking truck. Sure it is over the top and completely unnecessary, especially around here, but I like it. I would just prefer something smaller, and the price tag is ridiculous.

This is definitely something I would be more interested in, and should come in a lot cheaper. I plan on buying a cheap 4x4 beater for winter/the beach within the next year and putting some money into it. Something like this would seem to make a nice DD, and I turn the GTO into a weekend car instead of my DD.

We will see what happens though. Seems pretty unlikely to come to the states.

All that extra plastic stuff is just for the concept car part of it.

Re: Chevrolet Colorado Rally Concept

When will GM/Chevrolet show a regular cab ZQ8 variant of the new Colorado?

I think they should make a concept small truck that gets ridiculously good fuel economy.

Re: Chevrolet Colorado Rally Concept

I like it. Although it doesn't look like a Chevy for some reason. It would be a home run in the compact truck market.
This is one of those few cases when a production model would probably look better than the concept.
