$23k How much could they cut from the price if they lost the rear seats and built a 2-seater? And how much would it add to make it RWD?

I doubt that ditching the rear seats would save anything.

We'll find out exactly how much this combo costs in a RWD 2-Seater when the Solstice GXP Targa hits. But I'm guessing it will be $6-8k more than Cobalt SS.

The "no-lift shift" should be interesting.

Doesnt the Solstice GXP base around $25K? The hardtop should be cheaper than the vert...But even if it isnt, it shouldnt cost more...

$30K or more is too much for any Solstice...

This will be my next car. A little green with plenty of go and circuit track credentials. Way to go GM!

The Solstice GXP bases at $28,645. Most I've seen on lots have been well over 30k.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if the coupe costs more. It will more than likely cost more to build and sell less cars.

If the cobalt SS was a little nicer on the inside I would have forgone ordering my Mazdaspeed3 and ordered one of these new Cobalt SS's instead. I think for a high performing machine I could have sacrificed the utility of the hatch... The HHR SS doesnt do it for me, at all.

Neat car... I think its just a few tweaks of refinement away from being perfect! Kind of like the 4th gen Camaro, if performance is your first priority, this car seems to be the one for you.

I've never had the opportunity to drive a cobalt SS. I've always wanted to though.

Does anybody know how they go?

If I needed a new car, this one would be on my short list, for sure. I for one have always thought the inside of the CSSs were very nice. $24k with an upgraded stereo and a roof? Sounds pretty good to me! Especially with gas prices the way they are...

The only question is, how will a base Camaro compare, price-wise?
