Chevelle SS Concept: Chevy High Performance

I was walkin through an auto parts store and saw this badass chevelle sitting on the front cover and said.......WTF....is it coming out. It was beautiful.....the magazine had all the interior pics etc. This site I don't think shows them but it was in this mag. I think this is the best concept I've seen so far and it is similar to the GTO chassis and will fit right on. The link is below......

Tell me what you think.......... (Buy the mag: better pics)

It's not similar to the GTO. It IS the GTO. They photoshopped stripes, a hoodscoop (WTF?) the grille and some wheels onto it and called it the Chevelle. Whether you like the non-retro GTO or not, could GM keep it down to just one famous A-Body nameplate being brought back (and ruined IMO.)

I think if they aim to bring the Chevelle back, they are going to have to do a damn good job of making it a Chevelle and not slapping different badges on an existing car. Word has it we'll see the Chevelle around the same time as the new restyled GTO.

Several several several times. "This is the car chevrolet must build."

The GTO is a fine car that's been built. The ONLY thing that anyone could really complain about is that the GTO wasn't originally built in Australia......and well maybe the single exhaust outlet on true dual exhaust.

Leave the Chevelle name alone and bring our beloved Camaro back.

I think it has been beaten to death that the Chevelle thing started as and totally was a rumor without a hint of truth to it.

It could just be that they don't want anyone else to use the name on anything (learning from Ford and the GT40 trademark) while not having any plans to do one themselves.

I wish the Chevelle talk would just go away. It doesn't fit into Chevy's product lineup, I have yet to see anyone make a logical case for it when the question is posed....and if it were to come back no matter how it looks or performs we'll have GTO-Revisited complaints from Chevelle "experts" who claim the original car was this or wasn't that.....

you're absolutely right there since the "original GTO" is Italian and made in Italy.
