Charger poll.
Re: Charger poll.
I'm not a fan of the nose. Least they could have done was used the nose off the Magnum which i like. I absolutely hate the fact that it is 4 door SEDAN! And the lack of manual tranny only makes it less appealing. I could put up with the ugly nose and the slush-box, but the 4 doors are too hard to swallow.

Re: Charger poll.
The car itself doesn't look attractive to me.
The reason this car, or more importantly the SRT-8 version is attractive to me is because of the 425 hp engine w/ the great handling & braking all in a car that can fit a family.
Is there any car out there with similar performance, for similar cost, that can fit a family!?

Re: Charger poll.
It should be a 2 door. If GM is/would be planning on doing the same thing with the Camaro, they should leave it dead. I can't really see Charger fans feeling too much differently....
Re: Charger poll.
I voted for the 6 speed, I dont know what the car cost I just assume it will be less than the Magnum or 300c so less than 30,000. I live in Michigan so a sporty car with good ground clearance is a must. I would love to by a new Mustang but financially I cant just park it 6 months out of the year. So Chrysler made the Charger Practical for the Family that still wants a sporty car that can be used for the daily comute and taking the kids to soccer practice. I would be in line for a Hemi Magnum for the wife if it was available in a six speed.
Re: Charger poll.
Nothing to do with your pole, but it looks like we'll have a 4-door Mustang available when the Charger comes out.

The lines on these cars are VERY similar.
Anyway, I like the Charger equation, but it just doesn't look good.

Re: Charger poll.
I think it should lose a couple of doors, but that's not enough. From the side the car's hood looks too short and the long cab makes it even worse. If it was better proportioned I would like it far better, and shortening the cab (deleting the back doors) would definitely help.
Re: Charger poll.
Is it just me or has the media been unusually polite with its take on the Charger so far? I mean really, I never read one decent thing about GM's decision to bring back the GTO nameplate (on a coupe no less) but the fact that the new Charger looks like every other LX sedan (but maybe even more homely!) is quickly followed by the assertion that this car "could be able to pull it off." I don't get it?!?

but to answer the question, add a manual shift, change the front, and drop as much weight as possible...
Re: Charger poll.
I'm surprised by all the negative reaction to this car. Not because I don't agree with it, but because I'm in the majority, a place it seems I rarely am lately when it comes to new car styling. This car IS ugly (like most of DC's recent efforts), should have a manual transmission option , and should NOT be called a Charger. It may sell okay but I sure as hell will never lust after it. I hope Ford sells ten V8 Mustangs to every "Charger".
