Re: Charger with dealer installed 20's.

Some of you guys need to step into the 21st century. I used to have a similar opinion, but rather like larger wheels now. By larger, I mean nothing more than an 18" on a car like a GP or a Charger. I put 17s on my GP and love them. I'm leaving the 16s on the Z because I like the white wheels and don't want to detract from ride quality.

17s should be the norm for many sportier-level cars going forward, with 18s for performance coupes and 19s for cars like Vettes and Porsches. I agree, 20s are stupid...but then again the comment that anything more than 16s on a car is asinine These aren't the IROC years, anymore!

For all you guys with a death grip on your 16" wheels.....would you be surprised to learn that alot of future products are being "package protected" for 22" wheels?

Aside from aesthetics, which for a designer is the first concern...

..that'll put the cost of a replacement near the $300-a-piece mark won't it?

I put 18s and 20s on my Impala:

Some cars look good with larger wheels if done correctly. 20" is my limit of good taste.

Re: Charger with dealer installed 20's.

Its rediculous when someone lifts a car to get big wheels on imo.

But fat, pregnant cow sized cars like Charger look just fine with 20's. As do most SUV's. A lot of SUV's look just fine with 22's imo.

24's look stupid on anything. Maybe a schoolbus, lol.

Large, tasteful factory wheels (and a select few aftermarket) get a big from me....

It seems that most people have zero ability to tastefully match an aftermarket wheel to their car/truck.......

IMPALA64 ~ very nice!

Very nice! Bigger wheels and tires arent a bad thing but they have to look good and preportional to the car they're going on. A Tahoe sitting on 24's with thin sidewalls doesnt fit this description. However this car does and looks very good!

I think that about sums it up right there. Some people should contact someone with an eye for design before purchasing some wheel/tire combos.

Back on topic, the Charger looks good, but I would prefer a little cleaner 5-6 spoke design.
