Which car do you think of when you hear SS?

 

I voted Camaro because anytime i hear anything that has to do with cars I think Camaro. I'd have to say when I hear SS I just think performance.

 

I think of:

Chevelle SS
Nova SS
Impala SS
Monte Carlo SS - kind of

When I think of Camaro I think Z28. (and IROC ) Ask random bystanders, most will think that too. Z28 is synonomous with it.

 

I think of the late 60's - early 70's SS Chevelles first... closely followed by the 67-68 Camaro SS 396s.

 

I usually think of Camaro SS because thats all I think about is Camaros. Second would be Chevelle. I have made it a point in the future to own a 454 Chevelle SS. I saw 2 396 Chevelle SS's today and almost couldnt contain myself.

 

I think of SS's as sporty big cars. I'm torn between Chevelle and Impala.

 

I gotta go with the chevelle, yeah the old camaro ss was nice, but theres something special about the chevelle.

Camaro SS doesnt sound special because the 96-02 SS's were nothing more than overpriced options, that didnt do anything for your performance..

 

Not that I'm trying to restart the SS vs. Z/28 debate.

 

And when I think of 1st Gen Camaros I think of racing stripes and cowl hoods. And I'm not the only 1 because more often than not regular 1st Gen base Camaro's, SS's, and RS's get modded to look like Z28's more than any other model.

 

I think big boat (94-96) Impala.

 

For some reason, the 80's Monte Carlo SS's come to mind. I think because they are so common.

 

For me the definitive SS is either the '62 Impala or '70 Chevelle.

We'll see how the Cobalt turns out.

 

Being Australian I think of the Holden Commodore SS, but its not on the poll.

 

When i think of SuperSport, I think of a Red 1970 Chevelle SS with white racing stripes. When I think Camaro performance, I think Z28 or even ZL1 (i know it wasnt a model but DAMN I LOVE THAT MOTOR!)

 

where's El Camino SS?

I voted for the impala SS, but I wasn't talking about the new ones...
