Can you guys help me find something....

I'm looking for road course lap times for '05 Mustang and 3rd/4th gen F-car. Ideally done on the same course. I know, they'd be from years apart and perhaps wouldn't be as ideally directly comparable ....but would be interesting to see, nontheless.

Wonder how an '05 GT would do against a '93 Z/28.....or even an '89 1LE?

Thanks.

Not a lap time...but here are 600 ft slalom times and skidpads from MT.

MT July 1990.
1990 Camaro RS - 63.3 mph, .90g (200 ft skidpad)

MT November 2004
'05 Mustang GT - 66.1 mph, .84 g (200 ft skidpad)

2002 SS vs. '03 Cobra.....scroll about 3/4ths down. 1:26.57 for the Camaro at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in New Jersey.

It is notable because the Live axle/SLA F-body runs within .3 sec of the mac strut, IRS Mustang with 60 more rated HP.

I know that's not an '05 Mustang but maybe somebody's taken one around that track and has #s

What will be really sad is that if the new Trailblazer SS....tuned at Nurenburg (sp?) no less, would out handle a strut/live axle 5th gen.....oh the horror.....

If anyone can dig up an '05 Mustang lap time at Willow Springs...that would be great.

I'm still looking.................

hey charlie, you know if this rs was an optional handling rs or just the plain jane with the 15 inch wheels, etc.?
i would think the gt would have a better skidpad rating too, maybe some better wheels/tires would help
they only run like 260s on the gt's right now right?
