CamaroZ28.com and 5th Gen forum get mention in PHR
CamaroZ28.com and 5th Gen forum get mention in PHR
Hey everyone, just thought I'd let you all know. It's not a big deal, but this forum got a mention in the latest issue of PHR. It was in a reply to a letter to the editor about my 5th gen concept and that there is a 5th gen forum on this website. Kinda cool. I'm more or less a lurker around here, but I check it once or twice daily and chime in whenever I see something interesting to me.
I think this is a great forum with a lot of good input, especially from the folk in the industry. Once (*if*) the fifth gen Camaro is released, what will be the next big topic? Maybe GM will have to kill off another famous name and then hint at bringing it back in order to generate this much interest in their goings-on in the future. We'll see.
Thanks, and sorry if I'm just sucking up bandwidth with this post!

I think there will always be a Future Vehicle forum on this site. Too much good info is on here for Jason to shut it down. I know when they redid the site back about a year ago, they re-named it and took the '5th gen' part out and just called it 'Future Vehicle' forum. I, along with a few others, put a post in the suggestions forum that the '5th gen' should stay until the 5th gen car came out, then change it to 'Future Vehicle' forum. Jason agreed and changed the name back. Sounds like sometime in late '06/ early '07 he will be able to change it back!

The next big topic will be that 50% of people will be complaining about the 5th gen, and the other 50% will love it.

GTO's lagging though....I'm hoping 05MY will change that.

Yeah, I got my issue just the other day and that was one of the first things I noticed.
I have to say, I think Johnny Hunkins is doing a good job as chief editor so far.
The GTX in this month's issue is nearly....arousing. :blah:

we have the 3 types of people
1. people that give opinions
2.people that know tons about upcoming vehicles and give opinions
3.people that work for car manufacturers that give opinions
the insight and opinions from everyone make this a great section.

Kris:? about your PHR pictures
Hello Kris,
I work at Hitachi Automotive Products in Torrance, CA. We manufacture a line of high performance starters for Chevys and Fords sold throghout the country. I recently saw your picture in PHR. I loved it. Currently I am working on our 2004 performance catalog. I wanted to know if you would be interested in having your camaro drawing included in our catalog. I'm not sure what is involved legally, but I thought I would give it a shot. Cant hurt trying. I can be contacted directly at (310) 212-0291. The article asked if you contacted and this is where they sent people, to this forum. If your reading this and you know Kris personally, I would appreciate it if you could forward this message onto him.
Thank you,
larrow
