What percentage of "Niche" cars have lasted in production longer than 4-5 years before being killed? I'm sure it's a pretty high number.

Yea, I addressed that in the original post Thats the only thing that gets to me as well, otherwise I would rather enjoy an "affordable" enthusiast niche car.

i think it's just being implied anymore if we have this zeta couple come out in the chevy stable also
something has to give in that case (atleast if they keep the current cars too such as impala, monte, etc.)

I think Guy said something in another post about the Camaro being "niche" and alot of people are really, really reading into that......

Personally, I dont want the Camaro coming back as a "niche" vehicle. If it looked like a Camaro, was an awesome car, and had awesome performance, but was only available in v8 trim, that would seriously s#ck. One nice thing about the Camaro has been its availability. Hell the only reason I have a Camaro now is because of the v6 model. Chevy has the Corvette for a niche vehicle. Give us a g#dda#n pony car! Available in v6 and multiple v8 models. Ford can do it with the Mustang. Chevy can do it with the Camaro. End of story.

I'm just speculating and not really reading into whats being said too much but I will say I will be exceedingly disappointed if the Camaro comes back as a v8 only coupe. IMO, the Camaro would be back, yet GM would still be handing half the market to the Mustang (v6's make up more than half of our two beloved Pony Cars' sales)

I'd imagine nothing will be as good or bad as we expect, including this. But Camaro as a niche vehicle like the GTO would be aweful as far as I'm concerned, even if it came out as an awesome car. I think Camaros should be everywhere, and everyone should grow up wanting one. Camaro is a muscle car not a halo car, its place is to be affordable, good looking, and a rush to drive, out doing its job cruising the street. It shouldnt have to sweat the never ending details that seem to be put in its way.
