I was just looking at the pick of the Chevy SS Concept and I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but that car looks a lot like what the new Camaro is rumored to look like. The SS is just a stretched version of the Camaro. The grill, light placement, windsheld angle,...... I was just wondering how much of the new Camaro was put into the SS Concept.

 

I belive there was a little thread about that from Guy talking about how most of GM's future design is gathering of many concpets. I think the Camaro will look a lot like the SS concpet in the overall shape, yet be smoothed out and given less of a "concpet" look. Cut 2 doors off, shorten the nose just a tad, and smooth out the extreem parts of the car, and I think we would have an awesome Camaro that doesnt look retro, but very smooth, streemlined and of course...fast!

 

Yeah, i got the impression that the camaro will essentially be a 2 door SS (not exactly, but along the lines) with the nose and a few other cues from the '99 nomad concept.

That's been discussed and part of the reason behind Sharpshooter's version of the prototype.

I remember just before the SS concept was unveiled. I was thinking that if GM cannot show us a Camaro prototype, they might cleverly hide a camaro prototype in a concept with a different name. When I saw the SS, I thought this was for sure a camaro concept.
However, I also remember red planet saying the SS had nothing to do with Camaro though.
