Yeah that made me laugh when I thought of it.

When I met Red a few months back at a show I only got a chance to shake hands and get a picture with him not talk too much.

I'd just like to see what he can made public on the board to keep the excitment up.

My guess is that he has said all that he CAN say....I don't think he is withholding info just waiting for a thread like this

I'm sure getting antsy though......

Re: Calling the Man from Mars!

The negotiation between the CAW and GM for their new contract just started this past week. After they come to an agreement, hopefully some exciting news will flow.

Re: Calling the Man from Mars!

RP is THE person who can tell you what Chevrolet is likely to have at NAIAS, but I don't think he has a comprehensive list of what other GM divisions, let alone other companies, are going to show.

He'll also probally tell you that there's plenty of last minute changes both in additions and subtractions to Auto Shows.

He has a pretty cool job, but after seeing him in action with the pressure of getting things set up before special & press showings, not to mention the general public (some times 2 shows at the same time! ) in a very restricted amount of time, I think if I were him, I'd probally smoke alot.

Yeah, Scott is a really cool guy.

I was in the theater for his presentation at The Gathering in 2003, and his attitude is really inspiring. Not just the fact that he's so passionate about these cars and the people that love them, but just his positive and easy going attitude in general. Seeing him around all weekend, talking to everybody like they've been friends for years, was really cool.

People like him, are the only reason I'd ever get back into the Camaro scene again. I still think the 'brotherhood' between all the owners is half of what makes the car great. I don't know if it'll be a 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th gen... But I'm sure I'll get another one eventually.

I met him and John Moss at the unvieling of the 35th at Carlisle. Very down to earth and nice guy.

Re: Calling the Man from Mars!

I met RP a few years back when he was in Dallas. What strikes me the most about him is that he was meeting with about ten of us late at night after he'd just gotten into town. I'm betting that no one at GM told him he needed to go shoot the breeze with some F-body folks, but he did. Thats going above and beyond the call of duty. If any other GM execs read this board, they need to know that guys like Scott are few and far between and should be held in high regard.
