Looks like a pissed off Dodge Caravan

 

Yuck. Gag me.
I didn't like the Neon much, but it was a helluva lot better than this ugly thing.
Well, at least it makes decent power, I wonder if the transmissions will still explode alot.

 

First Honda made the Civic Si look like a scaled down Odyssey (last gen), now Dodge has a hot hatch that looks like a little Durango or something.

 

Does anyone else HATE Dodge's shade of red?

 

I'm still skeptical about DCX's decision to wholesale replace their compact car with this Caliber.


Now, a 300 HP Dodge Vibe. Boy-racer looks in a mini-me SUV thing.

Makes the GM 260hp turbo ecotech seem kinda weak, doesnt' it.

I wonder if this is the same engine going in the Evo. 260ft/lbs adn 2.4 liters have me saying its not. The hood does look alot like the Evo X hood though.

 

anyone notice how bigalsz28 said dodge/chrysler doesn't have experience with turbo cars? I'm pretty sure during the mid-late 80's you could get almost every dodge car turbo, including caravan.

omni, spirit, charger, daytona, caravan, lebaron, laser, and the list goes on...

GM needs to step up to the plate. Pontiac's Vibe would be the perfect car to tackle this Dodge. The Caliber will sell quite well.

In regards to bigal's post, I believe even prior to merger, that Chrysler Corp. had built more turbocharged engines than any other manufacturer.

 

I don't think so. First of all the Turbo Ecotec is down 0.4L
Secondly the torque of both engines is the same. Makes Dodges 2.4L look not so hot to me.

Thirdly it'll probably weigh 3300lbs

Fourth....well its ugly. I feel sorry for the SRT4 guys I can't see too many jumping to this.

 

Weren't all those turboed 80's cars powered by Mitsu motors though? I thought that was the point.
