Is Cadillac going to make a V-series SRX?

I'd like to see one built to go up against Porsche, BMW, and MB.

6 speed auto, 440HP S/C Northstar, 20" rims

I don't think anyone has mentioned anything, but it would seem a logical model for that market.

Word has it that is was killed quite a while ago. It wouldn't take to much work. Lowered suspension, STS-V motor and tranny. AWD would be nice too. Oh yeah new grill.

I'd think it's be a great addition to the Cadillac lineup!

The real-world demand may be what's keeping it from happening... While the V6 SRX has a nice starting price, the existing V8 shoots it up real fast in price... a V-series is going ot be in the $60-$65+ range, I'd think... that is getting pretty expensive.

Re: Is Cadillac going to make a V-series SRX?

I remember reading an article in autoweek where someone at GM said that they were planning it but have decided there were other projects currently that need to be tackled first. It could be just a few months old (about the time the bad news started trickling in for GM)

I"ll try to find it and post.

All the hardware is there b/c of the STS-V. The only thing that would need to be done really is tune the suspension.
