Cadillac CTS-V...... Plus??

http://www.thecarconnection.com/inde...&sid=178&n=158

I am thinking this is simply a logical step up for the CTS-V to move from the LS6 to the LS2 or LS7 as the Gen III smallblock is phased out... Car Connection seems to be implying otherwise, though...

That looks pretty bad-***. I was wondering if the car will be placed higher than the current CTSv and still keep both cars or is this just the new CTSv with a better engine. Also, it must either have the LS7 or a forced induction LS2. I am kinda surprised that they are going to upgrade the car that quick but I am not complaining...........................It seems they don't want BMW to have the crown.

CTSv and Corvette Z06 share the same engine.

The next Z06 will have a 475-500 horespower engine.

There is no "Series Plus", they were simply testing the next CTSv with the new Z06 engine (a 427?), and nothing more.

Guion, I think we can all agree here you need to start publishing your own magazine or something similiar! You have the inside info the good writing ability and fans of your work. I think you should get it going!

I already figured on trading my 04 in on the 06 in about a year from now.

The bulge on the hood suggests to me a supercharger... I wonder how old these pics are. Could this be one of the supercharged Northstar CTSv's that were originally considered?

The N* will not fit into the CTS's small engine bay. The original plans for the CTSV was the TT 3.2 or 3.6 HF V6. The plans changed with Lutz for the LS6 to save on cost and keep the car still elevated.

The vehicle show here is actually an older CTS-V mule. The higher-performance CTS-V Plus uses a larger-displacement pushrod small-block engine, so the hood hump should disappear in production.
That picture is of the original CTS-V. This could be a test bed for the supercharged northstar. Who says that under that hood isnt a gutted engine bay? They can fit the 'star under the SRX and STS's hood, so I think that they just used the CTS-V as a mule for testing.
