C6 starting price announced
In reaction to the dark red spy shots, USA Today had this article:
http://www.usatoday.com/money/autos/...corvette_x.htm
Starting MSRP to be $44,000.

That price sounds just right.
I bet GM is PISSED that the photos of the C6 have been leaked everywhere.

They DID have the C6 completely uncovered on an auto trailer, in the middle of downtown San Francisco's financial district in the daytime, afterall.
BTW: Great price!

I doubt it. This falls under the heading of purposely leaked.

If they didn't want the car to be seen, they would have transported it in an enclosed hauler.

True, true................but why not wait for the grand unvailing at the NAIAS? That would have a much better shock value.

Did you guys even read the article? it does not say C6 will start at $44K, it says it will be close to the price of the current car, which starts at $44K.
So expect a price increase, just not much of one.

Well, I agree with what was said above, surely sharing some of the chassis and underpinnings development costs with XLR will help, because GM as a whole will have more unit sales to defray the development costs and therefore can stand perhaps to make a little less margin per vehicle.

This is great news since earlier it was speculated the the C6 would see a $5,000 price jump.
