Buick's kappa car?

From Autoweek (Also shows sketch of next Eclipse concept to be at NAIAS)

Buick built for two

A Buick racer? A prototype built by Bertone in Turin? Yes, says retiring GM design chief Wayne Cherry. At the 2004 New York auto show, Buick plans on making a huge splash with a Mercedes CLK convertible-fighting concept that’s equal parts Lexus SC 430 and CLK. Hopes are to reposition Buick in the market and make it as hip to own as any Lexus.
The Competition:
MB CLK
Lexus SC430

Interesting... I would imagine that this would be a much different car than the Bengal concept. Sounds like they may have some intent on bringing it to production too if they've already mapped out the competition.

I am pretty sure this isn't going to be Kappa based I would bet my money on VE or Sigma mass whatever you want to call it. But I think that is where it is coming from.

Hmm...if another division is to get a 2-seat roadster why wouldn't it be on Kappa? We already know GM has been wrestling with finding a platform mate for Solstice to make the business case more appealing...

Kappa seems like the obvious choice to me.

I think the Kappa has a case made for it with Solstice, maybe another name for it; and the saturn roadster, signal I believe is the name. I think the author of the artilce missed out on all the hints of a RWD 4 seater vert at NAIAS. The key isn't RWD or Vert the key is Four seats. Notice that the competitors listed are both 4 seaters. I think that is where this car is going.

Wonderful. More reskins of the same car spread through different GM brands. So the Pontiac Solstice, future Saturn roadster, a possible Chevy car, and now a BUICK two seat roadster? That's too many brands with the SAME two seat roadster! I thought GM wanted to move away from this type of thing?

If the car has its own identity looks and performs different to its *cousin* why does it matter?
