Exclamation Brand new F150 about to set a new sales record for the month of September!

There are almost certainly more freshly introduced 2004 Ford F150's on the road right now (after only being "introduced" September 2nd) than any single year Camaro since 1995, and by the end of next month, you'll have to go back to at least 1986 to find any model year in which Camaro sold as many units that year as Ford sold F150s in just 2 months!

Kind of puts life in perspective, doesn't it.

Exclamation It's a good truck, but more importantly :

They are advertising the dam thing !

Plus, doesn't Ford typically sell like 750K trucks a year ?

If so, that's 62,500 per month normally - being new and exciting, these seem to be doing better.

Glad you posted this - I was looking earlier for info but had no luck.

Thanks !!!

I think comparing these 2 sales figures is like comparing sales #s of a vette and a huyndai accent. 2 totally different vehicles with different purposes.

ford makes one half-ton pickup the f150
GM makes 2, the silverado 1500 and the sierra 1500
the camaro is a sports coupe whose sales are divided into camaro and firebird.

Lets compare apples to apples.

PS I know the f150 is probably the top selling vehicle of all time or something like that with the beetle being second. I think....

How much are the low end new F150s going for? I might be looking for a truck later this year.

I wonder if those numbers include the "Heritage" F-150?

Looks like around 22K for the regular cab XL.

Very strange as I have yet to see one brand new F-150 on the road. I assumed they weren't rolling them out full force yet.

I say good for Ford they need this and they thought this through. Its good to hear the new F150 will be everything they said it would be. Those are some sweet numbers for a vehicle thats so need and unproven. I don't think anyone here really wants to see Ford fail, I mean who would we have to pick on??

Yeah, the new F-150 is out. I've seen three so far, including a long bed model. However, I think Dodge is doing well with it's release of the Ram. Just yesterday, I saw about 15-20(new w/ dealer paltes) of them in a one hour spand.

Me either. I don't really look that close to Ford trucks rolling down the road though.

Mark me up for having not seen a single one yet also...

When is the next generation Silverado due?

Since most of us haven't seen the NEW 150 on the road yet (and believe me I do pay attention to the cars that are on the road around me, no matter what they are) how are these numbers coming to be? I just find it odd.

I have seen one in KY maybe they are rolling them out by states. It seems like the Cali guys have seen quite a few of them.
