Bold move by the local Saturn dealer with the Aura

Curious if all Saturn dealers are doing this or not . The Dealer I used to work for has purchased 1 brand new loaded 6 cyl Accord and one brand new loaded 6 cyl Camry . They have them parked in the end of the Aura section to compare too , they left the window stickers in both . I just rolled thru there on a Sunday and havent had time to stop in , so I was just curious .

ive been seeing comercials about it, so its a nation wide thing i guess, but i just wonder if it is select dealerships, or every one

edit: i just saw an add about the same thing i had seen on the comercial here is a site that tells a little about it. It says compare at your nearest saturn dealership

Chevy will be doing the same thing with the new Malibu when it launches as well.

It is good to see that Bold Moves are going on somewhere.

Me and my GF shopped the Accord, Camry, and Aura and she ended up buying the Aura. Her old car was a Honda Civic and she used to be one of those people that would not by an American car. She really like the Aura and the Accord better than the Camry. Aura was nicer on the inside and offer much more car for the money.

Saw a commercial for it a couple days ago. Very ballsy move, but they wouldn't do it if the Aura weren't a better car.

I believe that is the point to show that it is better.

That's kinda the point. To show that GM's new cars are world class.

GM is really doing great things for Saturn by finally pulling their Opel lineup over to the states. American people like Euro cars without Euro price tags and Euro reliability issues.

I haven't driven the Aura but I have sat inside of it and I would say it's nicer than the Camry and about on-par with the Accord. I wouldn't be surprised if driving dynamics are on par or better than the Accord as well.

I've heard a lot of good reviews on how the Aura drives - only constant complaint is the overboosted and numbed electric steering feels worse than even the Camry's.

About the only reason I might still choose the Accord is resale value and predicted reliability. Then again the new Accord will be out here in a few months and could shuffle things around again.

The Aura has hydraulic steering.

My buddy liked his electric assist in his G6. He said it was different and took some getting us to, but once you got past that he really liked it. I think he really liked not having to ever mess with any p/s fluid.

My GF has the XE (3.5L) and it corners great. Better than the Accord or any other FWD I've driven (I've never driven a Cobalt SS or RSX though). Steering is very tight. Very much the opposite of a Silverado or Suburban that has a looser feel to the way the wheel spins.

If you don't like the tighter harder to turn feel like a BMW and prefer a loose pickup truck feel then I guess the Aura sucks. I like the Aura steering better than the last few cars I've owned or rented.
