Price will likely be a little more than the current generation M5, but similar none the less.

And yes, it's confirmed it will be produced in exactly the form you see on that page, in just a few more months.

I like this

MS S65 engine management system features most powerful processors currently approved for use in automobiles

Let's hope they won't require a reset/reboot like their iDrive system.

Most free-breathing, high revving, high hp cars make small torque in comparison. Look at Porsche's, Ferraris, even Formula 1 cars.

Theyre all still fast though.

that sounds like an awesome car, little low on torque but 507hp looks good on paper plus all that crazy high tech stuff, and it looks awesome.

They key is not how much peak tq...because at low RPMs it doesn't help acceleration much. Where in the RPM band the Tq peak occurs is much more important.

An engine making 300ft-lbs at 4000 rpm will out accelerate an engine making 400 ft lbs at 2000 rpm.

That's why an LT1 car will out accelerate a TPI car even though peak TQ is lower.....Peak numbers can be very misleading.

DAYAM, those headers are rediculous.

and peak torque only seems "small" because peak HP is so damn "BIG". why does everyone assume that torque and HP number, the digits themselves have to be close to square? it just happens to work out this way in the American measuring system. look at the metrics. kW are usually 1/2 the Nm numbers where they would be square in the American system. but they're just numbers.

Things to keep in mind:
* 5L of displacement is still 5L despite 10 cylinders
* 5L mustang made under 300lb-ft torque, BMW V10 makes 365.
* 500hp is a rediculously high rating for a 5L engine.
* if the BMW V10 were to have square numbers, they would 365hp/365lb-ft, not the other way around unless boost was involved.
* I want to have the new M5's babies.

I looked at the picture gallery for the car. The dash looks like it goes in a 1985 instead of an 05. That rearend is still horrible. Cool car, but Cadillac should have the answer soon enough.

Oh, and lets not forget it'll cost nearly $100,000. So, maybe its not so cool.
