I particularly like this one.

Look at that hood bump! Also it seems the wheel base may be a little different looking at the last pic.

I really like the styling cues on that car. I'm guessing it will have a roots blower as well.

Heh, well then youd love the current Z06.

The car pictured is a powertrain mule. The bump in the hood that is clearancing the supercharger is the only thing visually different.

That, and the fact that it looks like a sumo wrestler is in the back. Is the data logging equipment that heavy, or does it have some suspension changes?

Oh it does

My friend was telling me about these mules. The first mules they tested just had a hole cut in the hood to clear the blower. I guess they are covering it now that they are on the street.

But yeah, they are just current Z06s with the new powertrain in them.

Not to ruin it, but doesnt the current z06 have like 505 hp. I would kinda expect more hp than 650. Dont get me wrong, that will put you in your seat, but mosy are paying well over 80k for the current z06. I expect if these are prodiced, they will be well over 80k, but with not that much more horse power.

Who said it would be the same weight? Who said it wouldn't look totally different? The Blue Devil will be a league above the Z06, and that is saying something!

I think that's asking a bit much. I mean...it's 650hp from the factory, a 30% increase inpower from a stock Z06. Do you want them to slap a nitrous system on there as well?

Not to scew off topic, but in response to a "Factory Nitrous System"...

With the popularity of it today (esp in the Import Crowd) is it possible we would ever see such a thing in a "Performance Vehicle".

I don't know if there's any govt. laws against it, but it would be hell to try to warranty a drivetrain on it (unless it's like a 50 shot).

GM experimented with it on the 80's Monte SS cars. Something like a 25-50 shot I believe.

Ford had that Intercooler-cooler using the refrigerant from the AC system on the last lightning concept. Push the button and you get a more dense air mixture. I thought that was cool.

I believe nitrous is illegal to use at all right? Save for offroad vehicles of course.

And 650 isn't enough? 400 is more than enough if you've ever driven a GTO or base Vette, etc. I mean, the C6.R "only" has 590. What more can you ask for? 300 will get you killed just as quick as 650 will.

I think upwards of 600+ you're going to have a hard time hooking up no matter what really...? More is really pointless unless you're tubbing it and running 1/4mi's only.
