AWD Chrysler 300
AWD Chrysler 300

I saw my first AWD version of the 300 on Sunday (at Kensington Park, for those from the area). When I saw the car, it was from the side, and I thought it looked like something was off. It was just too tall. Then as my view changed to the rear of the car, I saw the "AWD" badge. My first thought was:
They brought back the AMC Eagle!!
I don't know if it this car was full production intent (sure looked that way from the outside, but it was an M-plate), but it sat up like a damn 4x4 Ram. Well, not quite that high. But it did not sit at the same level as the regular 300, or like awd Audis, or the awd STS for that matter (which sits pretty much just like the rwd version). Strange. I'm not a huge fan of the 300 anyway, but dang this thing looked really high to me.
Anyone else come across an awd LX car yet? Was this just an anomoly, or is this how they will be?
Re: AWD Chrysler 300
I hope I get to see it driving around sometime. An AWD 300C just sounds amazing. Chrysler has HANDS-DOWN the best vehicles on the market today IMO. Mostly Dodge though. Hopefully the car can be revised to sit more toward standard 300 height. I'd suspect that AWD is going to spread to more LX cars as it looks like more and more vehicles are going that route with every manufacturer.

. Now if they'd ONLY toss a freaken manual into the mix....even a 5spd for crying out loud. They managed to toss the Hemi v8 (good engine) into many of their cars, but they shackle all of them with auto trannies.
Re: AWD Chrysler 300
I'm under the impression (from what I've read) that AWD is really pretty unnecassary in the 300 and Magnum unless you get into the really deep stuff in a mountainous area.
I test drove a Magnum R/T last Saturday and was impressed. This would be ther first time I bought anything other than a Chevrolet, if I do.
I have not seen an AWD of either model yet.
