If sold by Chevy (along with Chevy front end), a Kappa coupe wouldn't be much of an overlap. If you drafted a Firebird-like beak to it, I think you could get away with selling it at Pontiac alongside the Solstice without too many cross shoppers.

While the Solstice and Sky are marketed as true wind in your hair sports cars, market the hardtop as a "competition coupe". Enter it in SCCA events and drifting competition with factory backing, meanwhile, by the time these things hits the streets, the aftermarket on them should be in full swing.

Sell them for about $500 less than the Solstice, also advertize them as economical commuters (as they once did with Fiero), and I suspect we'd get a whole new group of buyers in. Still would have a bit of overlap, but I suspect it would be minimal.

 

Sweet! I'm not a ragtop guy either, the coupe just looks so much nicer. I actually seen a Mallet V8 vert., about 3 weeks ago.

It looks alright but it reminds me way to much of an M coupe...And I really don't like them What they need to do is make the hardtop more like it is on say a FRC C5 or a Viper coupe, it would look sooooo much better. If they made a SKY Redline coupe I think I'd have to buy one since it looks like the next Camaro will be really heavy and 'Vettes and Vipers are really expensive...

 

It would look much better if it had a trunk, ala FRC C5, C5 ZO6

 

I d rather see it as a firebird too.

I like the removable hardtop look they have on that 500hp one much much better than that pic the poster had.

This would fit in nice under the GTO. Make a V8 version called Firebird too

 

Pump that Ecotech up to around 300hp+ and it would be a blast...
