Thumbs up Aussie V8 supercars Wed 10pm speedtv heads-up

This is maybe a little off topic but I guess you could stay the racing series has links to the future camaro

Guys, I can't recommend highly enough tonights sandown race, and next weeks bathurst race, which I believe are being shown on speed tv 10pm tonight.

The sandown race has plently of action and swearing (through the cars radios) that made it through the live to air broadcast which will probably be get cut for you guys. But they hopefully wont cut the last part of the race as mother nature throws a BIG curve ball

Heres a screen capture of what i'm taking about.

BTW, that aint rain they are driving through! its a bit too white, sure is interesting to see race cars trying to go around 90degree corners at 15mph and failing

WARNING:

If you watch an Australian V8 Supercar race, NASCAR is going to look like a boring joke afterwards, unless you watch NASCAR for the comercialism more than to watch a good race.

If you even remotely believe in your wildest dreams that the cars in NASCAR have even a sliver of a relationship with the production cars they're based on, or even remotely suspect that NASCAR is anything more than a glorified version of IROC races (all cars identical, just the drivers & pit crew are different), you will NOT want to watch a Austrailian V8 Supercar race, and should view something else that evening.

No one will assume responsibility to changes in any viewer who becomes a fan of Aussie V8 supercar racing vehicles which actually start off as REAL stock cars, with engines that are actually based on REAL production engines actually in the production version of these cars.

Those old enough to remember when NASCAR resembled this type of race will likely be less affected.

You have been warned.

Thumbs up

Actually, I've been curious as to Pontiac's intentions as far as their withdrawl from NASCAR and mention of participating in other racing adventures......could it be that with the CTS-V and GTO, their "might" be a seed planted for a stateside Supercar series?!?

I love this series too!

Its on as I type this....very good racing!! And yes, its better than nascar, no caution flag every 5 laps because of some lame reason. It takes a pretty bad mess for those guys to throw the yellow. I like it
