Auction Tent Fail - Destroyed Exotics. :(
This was one of the top 3 winter storms, that we have had.
Here in lovely Payson, AZ, we got about 3" of rain, and 22-25" of snow, in 2 days. It collapsed the roof of one of my portable garages (the metal framework).
In the Valley, they got about 1.5" of rain officially, from this storm. However, that was the lowest amount, with most places getting over 3", and some with over 5".
There were also very strong winds, like the ones that took out the R&S tents.

Improper tent securement might be a situation which could be found negligent... all depends.
As a for instance, if a permit is required to erect a tent or temporary structure and none was pulled, IOW, no opportunity for inspection.
A similar damage incident happened to a friend of mine at a Carlisle event.
He collected as it was determined the other person's tent was not adequatly secured to the surface.
The insurer, if they specialize in collector cars, might goodwill coverage as it wouldn't be good for business if the coverage is not comprehensive at a car show or collector event...
In Florida, a neighbor's tree can fall on your house or car in a hurricane or bad storm and it's your tough luck. If you neighbor leaves his lawn furniture out and it's hurled into you belongings, he's liable.
It's a state to state deal.

For the week, we ended up getting over 6" of rain, and the previously mentioned 22-25" of snow.
I am sure that R&S had their own insurance. It would be in their interests, to settle with the owners of the cars.
