ATTENTION: To all of our friends from Oz.
The November issue of Wheels Magazine, released today, (yesterday in Australia), has, I'm told, a very informative story on the Torana, with lots of inside info.
Can someone scan it for us?
Thanks.

Also, I asked someone from GM for more info, and they suggested I find that story.

How in the world do they even know about an article that isn't published yet????
and Guy knew this before last week and said he read it weeks before that even... it must be fun...

Until we see the new story, this 5 part story from Carpoint is probably the most informative available.

Re: ATTENTION: To all of our friends from Oz.
I've had the story for about a month, and I promised not to talk about it till it came out. I'm not going to post it, or go into perfect details, but I'll give the basics.
Essentially, it's a story about the Torana TT36, who was behind it, what's in it, and how it came to be. Towards the end, the story goes into what type of future the structure has, and one of the stumbling blocks of getting it produced is GM's small car vehicle line executive, Lori Queen. Aparently, she doesn't believe a car like that will succeed here for.
Though it's not mentioned in the story, Bob Lutz (who in a way is the father of Kappa, which the Torana borrows from very heavily) is a big fan, and aparently will soon be very public about it.
Though there is no mention of Camaro, it is a very eye opening story.
One item of note: It's pointed out that if the Torana got the green light now, it wouldn't be out till late 2007 (as a 2008).
Kind of makes you wonder what if a Camaro idea was squeezed out on Kappa a year ago (out by late 2006 as a 2007).
(BTW: NO, that wasn't a hint.)

Lutz is a big fan. As are others in upper management. The political roadblocks are small compared to the financial ones.
BUT......
And you guys just need to take my word for this.....
If enough enthusiasm can be created....by people like us......then.... :thumbs up:

Did Lutz announce the C6 Corvette before it was introduced last December?
You'll be hit by a prototype before you'll hear an "official" announcement.
Re: ATTENTION: To all of our friends from Oz.
No. That's not what was said at all.
What was said is that Mr. Lutz is expected to become very vocal about the chassis very soon.
What's so hard about reading?
