I love how brand new models of cars/SUVs with no track record can be rated most reliable

I love how it says 'predicted reliability'. I guess the fact that its a GM its predicted to be unreliable (solstice) and the Toyotas are going to be reliable solely for the fact they are Toyotas.

I wonder how long it took them to research that.

2007 models unless otherwise noted.

*Predicted reliability based on only one model year
Is this some kind of joke? Sounds a little odd to me.

Edit: Nevermind. Its consumer reports... I'll forget I even read it.

Honda/Toyota rated most reliable... GM rated least reliable... research done by Consumer Reports...I'm supposed to be surprised?

how can you predict reliability solely based on the manufacturer of the car?

ESPECIALLY with Toyota's increase in recalls and other problems. And GM's increase in quality.

What the #$#@

Red Planet was quoted some time back as stating the Pontiac Vibe was GM's worst quality vehicle (produced along side the Matrix).

Yet now somehow it's a best in reliability? These all appear to be brand new 2006 and 2007 models. What were the criteria for being reliable, they were able to drive it off the lot?

Yea I know and the Matrix got praise while the Vibe was bashed..funny thing is Toyota did both cars design and research..so basically is it a Pontiac designed by Toyota. and the other thing the Matrix is built in Canada and the Vibe in Cali. same care diffrent plants.
