Anyone know which website this was?

I found this on another messageboard:

I was on a site the other nite when a person using the name fbodyfather as his screan name and identified as xxxx otherwise, came on assureing the members of the board that a 5th gen is indeed in the works for a 2007 release.
Anyone see this sighting on another board? (Yeh, I realise the name is misspelled so its probably a prank.)

www.z28.com has THE Fbodfather on it ( real not a fake). He has made several posts regarding 4th gen camaros and several subtle hints at the future.

This http://www.z28.com/showthread.php?t=30592 is the post I am referring to, if there is someone who is pretending to be Redplanet, I haven't seen a post by them.

i dunno it kinda sounds like Red... but then again the only things I've ever read from him are "Keep the faith"... if it's not him, someone's going through a lot to impersonate him.

Re: Anyone know which website this was?

I found the thread. Red's comments were more of the keep the faith nature. Others were speculating 2007, but then they were throwing up images of Kris Hortons concept.

This isn't the only board that RP posts on ya know. I've seen his posts on LS1.com,and LS1tech. He goes by fbodfather on those.

i registered with the site, he has several posts on the site beyond that one, not a plug for the site you understand, just pointing that the keep the faith thing wasnt his only post... it seemed to be the one everyone was asking for though, which is why i linked it.

As did I. However the majority of his comments there is stuff he's posted here, some if it well over a year ago. (Search the archives under Red Planet) if you're interested.

No, my only point is on my friend's messageboard someone posted that SS (aka RP aka FBF) had posted that the Camaro was coming back in 2007. I thought it odd as that doesn't sound like something he would post; and sure enough, he didn't.

I agree, RedPlanet has been very very careful with what he says, and has not ever specifically said the Camaro was coming back on '07. I think I misunderstood what you were asking, sorry.

Re: Anyone know which website this was?

Scott aka Redplanet aka FbodFather left these boards a while ago, he was disappointed about several things, mostly due to the negative posts that were circulating at the time. I'm not sure if the post detailing why he left is around anymore.

ehe... kinda figured just look at the post date its feb 05...

but hey if he was disappointed before heck if hes stiff cruising now he must be really ticked...from our side companied other than GM are giving us what we want...why have faith?? I see no reason to. GM has said nothing to stop us from doing such..reading between the lines gets us deeper...

GTO will be around for a while...its not a T Bird..and this is what I am getting at..I want a GTO since there is no mention by GM that a Camaro is comming back..but I have to wait 2 yrs to get my 05 GTO..so it will be in the price range I am looking for..2 yrs..so you figure it out...its either 05GTO, 07 mustang
or as I hope DCX gets a coupe going called Challenger

Both Scott and Guy have said everything they could. GM IS producing a RWD 2+2 that will be ready in '07 or '08. I don't think anyone on these boards will dispute that. What it will be called /shrug.... Camaro.... Chevelle... who knows, the Camaro does have a lot of support internally from several people inside GM, and Mr. Lutz is all too aware of both current Camaro owners enthusiasm for their vehicles and for the release of a new F-Body. GM, other than the Pontiac division, has a huge gaping whole in the 2+2 RWD vehicle segment, and the marketing department is surely looking at ways to fill those gaps as well as produce a vehicle that consumers will rate as the next " Gotta Have It" vehicle ala Mustang.

Why have faith you ask? Why shouldn't I have faith? GM is producing winners right now, and rather than rush or give me false expectations, GM is keeping a very tight lid on their new RWD vehicle. I would rather wait and see what happens over the next year than rush out and buy a new vehicle I might want to get out of 12 months after I bought it ( which are the same 12 months you lose the most in Value). In the end, buy what kind of car makes you happy. If you like the new Mustangs, go for it. If you want to buy an '05 GTO, get what you like. If you can wait 10-12 more months, do it, both cars will be cheaper, and we should know some more definitive information on the new RWD from Chevy/GM.
On a side note, waiting 6-7 months shold let you have the option to buy a T-Tops mustang and the convertible mustang will be out too.
My 2 cents.

Waiting to see what GM offers in '07

'07?

Hey, that's when the Mustang Cobra is coming. The one that the public will see in 10 days at NY. The same one that Ford has been officially talking about for a year ....which has also been seen as a developement mule in pics and videos for months.

'07? Boy, GM sure can keep a secret.
