Anyone else catch Cadillac's new ad campaign?
Anyone else catch Cadillac's new ad campaign?
In this month's magazines, so far I've seen an Escalade and a CTS ad. I forget the tag line for the Escalade, but the CTS ad states "there is an invisibility cloak. It's built in Germany."
I love the attitude and swagger behind the new ads. Caddy's new motto, "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit" is inspiring as well...far better than "Break Through." I also like how the ads remind me of the '50s and '60s Caddy ads, in that there is a monotone background with a picture of the car. Classy and elegant...I like it.
Just thought I'd pay some compliments to what appears to be the best ad campaign GM's had in awhile, IMO
An American Revolution was good, too...but I'd love to see "The Heartbeat of America" return, to be honest...I can't think of a better ad campaign GM has ever had.
Here's to hoping in a few more years, Caddy can start touting "the Standard of the World" tagline again

Re: Anyone else catch Cadillac's new ad campaign?
I think "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit" is rather lame. It always seems amateurish to me when they try to make a tagline by 'cleverly' tweaking a well-known phrase. It tends to get stale quicker too. And in this case, having two car names sold by other brands as part of the phase is a little odd too.
To me, Break Through was better: more simple, more straightforward, and more memorable. I also like the Zeppelin soundtrack, although I do agree it's better to ditch it before it gets too worn out.
