Was anyone else at Carlise this weekend? I must have had something in my ears..?

So..I was at the GM Nationals at Carlisle this weekend. I went and sat through the seminar Scott and team Camaro gave. At one point, someone asked if there will be a Z28..and everyone from GM gave the same non commited politically correct response you would expect Scott to give here if someone asked.. They said it would be nice to have something that performed better..but it is up to the new guy who signs the checks (i.e. the President). We all want something faster, but we have fuel economy standards and so forth..keep the faith. The only talk of the grille was that they thought the aftermarket would offer options. They confirmed the convertible..and said that the hood on Bumblebee was a concept..something the do from time to time. I mean if the talk they had at this show was confirming the Z28...then Scott confirmed the 5th gen in 2002.

So I come back and find this headline on Autoblog?

http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/29/w...ms-camaro-z28/

I am even in the picture on there....well the back of my head is.

Apparently I heard something completely different, or I don't know the secret Team Camaro wink? I guess I am out the loop haha.

These stories may all end up being unsubstantiated sensationalism, but I think it creates a positive "buzz" for the Z/28 brand. Especially if people start referring to the TF 2 Camaro as "the Z/28".
