Smile another 5th gen Camaro proposal

Hey guys,

I sketched up a 5th gen Camaro proposal last night It is based loosely off current Chevrolet design themes and a personal favorite of mine, the 1970 Camaro

click on link to view it (it's at the bottom of my webshots page)

OK, now that is frickin' cool! I think if you make the grill a little smaller (shorter) and add the Chevy "crossbar" I could see them actually building that.

Nice work!

First...Let me say that you obviously have some talent. I in no way want to discourage any ideas. I personally love looking at the concept drawings everyone comes up with....this one included.

That said, my first impression....I mean in the first couple seconds looking at it I thought "That eclipse looks a little like a Camaro!".

I went back and looked at it again, and see some more Camaro in it then I did initially. It just seems to have that Talon/Eclipse "swoopiness" to it that's all.

Might make you feel better to know that the Eclipse/Talon were in the running for my first new car. Though in the end I chose the Camaro, of course!

That's funny, I too had a '99 Eclipse GSX as a "finalist" when choosing a new car back in '98 .....obviously, I chose to buy my WS6 'Bird I still like the mechanical package and overall styling of that generation Eclipse though - I guess subconsciously some of that came out in my drawing

glad you like it though!

Thumbs up

One of the best I've seen, if not the best! Reminds me of a Porsche 955 at first glance. I'm all for the trunk and like the front end treatment--grill and headlights.

That thing is tight! One of the best I've see by far. Any drawings of the rear end?

Yea I like that, rather than the other retro front end ones Ive seen I think it would look better as a modern car if they had like a '73 or so looking front end. The SD TA's are one of my fav F-bodys

I like that. I think people say it looks like an Eclipse because it seems a little too compact and stubby. Try giving it more of that Camaro "presence"...lengthen the car a bit and it'll look very nice.
