About this other car at NAIAS...
About this other car at NAIAS...
There seem to be rumors floating around that there is another car besides the C***** that will be at NAIAS. This one is supposed to be a stunner and headed for production. I have not seen much discussion on it, so I thought I would give it it's own thread. Are we talking a Bel AIr possibly?

Just think how a car with 50's styling would do today? I think = good! Hell, look at the buzz the HHR has created...

Re: About this other car at NAIAS...
I feel pretty certain of a few things...
-It's a Chevy
-It's RWD
-It has the possibility to be a stunner even more than the Camaro
(from the way people talk about the appearance of this mystery car).
Now for some SWAG's (Scientific Wild *** Guess)
-When you hear Guy and others say that there may be a RWD car that makes it to market quicker than the Camaro...I am gonna assume this is it.
-It is most likely a RWD sedan or Quad Coupe because before there can be a Camaro, there has to be a volume sedan. (been stated many times). Also, if Chevy has a more pressing need than a Mustang competitor, it is that they need a competitor for the 300.
-If it's a sedan, Caprice or Bel Air would seem to be the front runners unless they give it a new name. Caprice is nice, but does not have the heritage pop Bel Air does. I am also gonna go out on a limb and say that styling will likely dictate the name. If it wear Chevy's new styling language, then it may very well have a new name. However, if it is retro, Bel Air make sense.
I do not see Impala going RWD anytime soon the way it sells.
