But should Chevrolet then design a new Camaro to appeal to a wider audience? Enthusiast feedback to GM says no. Despite the inherent comfort and cargo-carrying compromises, owners are willing to make sacrifices for the combination of power and handling. In fact, GM studies on customer wants reveal items that could be addressed in an evolutionary product: fresher styling, more horsepower (of course), smaller catalytic converter hump, eliminate skip shift, and improved visibility. A source close to the program claims that an evolutionary strategy is carrying the most momentum. He indicates that bolder, more dynamic styling in a more tightly designed package is on the drawing board.
This sounds like they've been reading these boards, maybe danno02ss posts...also, if they spotted it, why no pic evidence? I somehow doubt it.

Although the date is new, majority of that is old news.

I can tell you first hand...without a doubt....we on this board, know more about a future Camaro, than anyone at MotorTrend does.

That story is almost 3 years old....

Firebird enthusiasts can cling to the whispers that the GTO moniker may be resurrected.

Not to mention the fact that the "new Camaro" sketch they have at the top of that page looks more Mitsubishi than Chevy.....

I remember reading this article before I left for college. This is old stuff. Besides, if it were really new news, we could know already on this board. Motor Trend prints stuff that is only confirmed through official press releases.

Interesting stuff, but old! Hope to see something new soon, even though I plan on keeping the LS-1 forever.

I think if they took it more mainstream, more like the mustang (but still the sportier of the two) the enthusiasts would **** and moan, but they'd still buy the car if the performance and handling were still there. The non-enthusiast types would buy a lot more of them, however.

To me, It looks like a shortened formula camaro with the formula wing and the camaro headlights. The only thing I would change onthat car is the chrysler grille.
