Despite the inherent comfort and cargo-carrying compromises, owners are willing to make sacrifices for the combination of power and handling. In fact, GM studies on customer wants reveal items that could be addressed in an evolutionary product: fresher styling, more horsepower (of course), smaller catalytic converter hump, eliminate skip shift, and improved visibility. A source close to the program claims that an evolutionary strategy is carrying the most momentum. He indicates that bolder, more dynamic styling in a more tightly designed package is on the drawing board.
