Thumbs up

Always optimistic about this! My vote is 2007 or earlier.

I like to think GM has some things under wraps at the moment.

We'll see!

On the assumption that 2007 means 2007 or earlier, I voted for 2007.

Since the Mustang and F-body combined represent a lot of units sold, I just can't see the GM big dogs ignoring that, however, stranger things have happened...

IMO..the only way we'll see a Camaro by 2007 is if Bob Lutz , Wagoner, et al....put it at the absolute TOP of the priority list.

Ahead of trucks, small cars, mid size sedans, any Cadillac product, the Solstice...in other words...no way.

I say 2007 but every one knows they have to give ford that competition. I believe what everyone has said about 2004 or even 2005. I just hope soon and with dominating power as it should be!

I voted for 2007, because 2006 was not a choice.

I think 2006.

04 or 05 is my choice so I didn't vote. I hope I'm right, I don't know if I can wait longer than that!

Smile

Knowing a little as to what has to happen between the time a design is done to the time a factory actually makes the car, believing that Camaro will be out before 2006 is akin to believing that leaving a tooth under your pillow will bring a minute winged being who will exchange said tooth for a certain amount of cash.... it ain't happening! Sorry, but Santa & the Easter Bunny aren't real either.

That said, I'd say 2007 model (2006 calender) year at the absolute, break all records, Moses parting the Red Sea, act of God earliest.

I said 2007 only because of the 40th anniversary scenario. Realistically? Maybe 2009 or beyond.

2009? if that's their target, they shouldn't even bother. very few people will wait SEVEN more years for a new f-body.. much less 4 or 5. goooooooooood luck.

Just a side note, we are about to enter the 2004 model year in a few months. 2006 model year is only 2 years away, just to put some perspective on all this.

2007 or never. If there is no replacement by then to many of us will have gone the way of the Mustang, GTO, some Mopar with that new Hemi (if this motor ever finds its way into a sadan or cpe. look out) or dare I say, V8 powered Import. I just hope by the tiume it does arive it will have a gen IV motor. I want something new to play with. I have had my fun wit the LS1, great motor, but I want something new to play with. I do want to say that out of the many many cars I have played with my camarois the most fun to drive. For some reason I just love the thing.

Current Cars
- 2001 stroked, Ported, forged &Turbocharged camaro SS
-1969 AMC AMX lots of goodies as well

Former cars
-1994 Black LPE 383 vette
-1999 ARE 396 cid vette (couldnt afford the payment and the play)
-1996 LT4 vette (bolt on car with a little juice)
-1993 Mazda RX-7 (Blew up a motor more than people change there oil...
- To name a few

Do you think if there is a 2007 Camaro - they will call it the "40th Anniversary"??
I don't think they should. Break in production should be a new start. It's not as if the Impala got any Anniversary status when it was brought back.
