5th gen faithful...in here please

I lost faith in the 5th gen a while ago but some of you are sure there will be one. I would like to ask, once and for all, please, to tell me what you base that on. I have read every 5th gen thread here, and I just dont get it. You sound like you're basing it on facts, which is what confuses me.

Please, no "I heard..." or "I read somewhere..." or "some parts company planned for a 5th gen" or guesstimates. I want to believe and I'm asking for you to share your knowledge of facts with me.

It feels like a d!ck-tease to keep reading about a car I want to buy and not even get a wink from GM.

I think you're asking for information that people simply cannot give you.

Faith is believing in something with out evidence to substantiate it. So, when people here have "faith" in the 5th gen basically that means they believe the peopel who are telling them that it's in the works but nothing can be said.

Well I saw something with my own two eyes that leads me to believe that there is something down the pipeline. Maybe that coupe project never got final approval or has been delayed, but that car was pretty mean looking and screamed Camaro to me.

If you look up "faith" in the dictionary, you'll find that one of the definitions is:

"firm belief in something for which there is no proof"

There's no better way to explain the situation we're in. Until there's a press release about the next Camaro, that's all we've got.

The best thing to to is go on with life and enjoy it as much as you can. GM is going to do what GM does. If you want a new car, there's plenty to choose from right now.

Fact: American buyers are beggining to return to rear wheel drive cars.

Fact: Many people believe a new horsepower war has begun.

Fact: Chevy has no rear-wheel drive coupe outside of the 45k Corvette, or pontiac the upcoming Pontiac Solstice.

Fact: Work is being done one at least one new RWD compatible platform.

Vis - A Vis: GM has a hole in its lineup. They know this. Sooner or later they have to do something about... Right...

You'll have to elaborate on that. What did you see? And where was it?

I went to a design clinic a while back. Do a search on GONGOS for the thread.

I take it you're atheist? There aren't many hard facts to come by, you just have to have faith and believe that they will.

No real GM.com facts for you, just info from insiders that have said it is coming, new RWD platforms are coming out making it possible for a new Camaro. A LOT of clues are out there leading to the new Camaro.
