5th Gen 2-door or more??
5th Gen 2-door or more??
Since were getting into hatches again, some are saying they hope it's not a sedan.
What if, (I hate saying that..), it has 2 regular doors and 2 half doors that open like a 3rd door on a pick-up??
Does anyone remember the 4-door, Trans Am concept a few years back??...sorta puts me in mind of the "SS Concept" vehicle..
... It could happen...
Other than having 4-doors, it looks a LOT like an evolutionary Camaro...
minus the "name"...hmmm
If it still looks like a coupe, but works like a 4-door, would you kick one outta your driveway??

No, sorry, I've been scanning old Mags but no luck so far...I remember tho it was almost like a wagon, or CRX rear hatch. You could fold down the seats and probably fit a sheet of plywood in it...

If it has anything close to more than 2 doors, I am not buying.
Even suicide doors cause ugly body lines and seams, and awkward B and C pillars.
Keep them on Saturns... not Camaros.

Yes yes! 4 doors is just wrong and what else is unacceptable is a Camaro that is a closely related 2door version of a 4 door car like the Previous Monte Carlo and Lumina.

We can not have a Camaro and another nameplate put out in a 4 door version like the 95-99 Monte Carlo and Lumina.
And don't try to trick us by making the 4-door a Buick... we'll figure it out!
I don't think he's saying make it a sedan, but closer to the conifiguration of the ION quad coupe and RX-8. Not four full doors but 2 full doors and 1-2 half doors.
I like the rear quarter doos concept, but I personally don't think it's place is on a true sports car because you sacrifice styling somewhat. I think the Ion pulls it off a little beter than the RX-8 with the black-out panel behind the rear quarter doors simulating glass and keeping the rear window on the top surface, and keeping a racier shape.
I just can't keep but thinking the RX-8 starts looking a bit sedan-ish at the C-pillar.
2 doors for the Camaro, form over function here.

You are probably thinking of the Kamma back (sp?) TA's. They built a couple of 2nd gens and one or two third gen examples. It had a sort of wagon look. Ugly as homemade sin, if you ask me. I've got a few photos if anyone is interested, I can scan and post them.
Here it is:

as for the two half doors, i say NO
the half doors just do not flow right to my eyes yet. i've seen them on the Ion and the RX-8, and it doesn't look right.
