Brangeta - I think your concept looks a lot like a Cougar to be honest...

i agree w/ everything negative about the thread starter's concept, looks like a Vauxhall, NSX, MR2, etc...

BUT before i get dogged on... you both have talent! keep up the work!

I don't like it, but I like your other concepts much better. Matter of fact, I think your others are the best on the board, but I still don't really like anything I've seen yet that I'd want as the 5th Gen.

Nice job again!

Your sketches tend to show much more originality than almost all others on this board.

I think some people would bitch and complain if perfection slapped them in the face...

I mean come on... your drawing looks nice and everything, but you obviously didn't change enough if I instantly knew it was the Vauxhall when I saw it. You changed a few things, but adding stuff to the front of nearly the exact same car is just like changing your shirt. You may look different, but you're still the same shape.
:thumbs down:
It still looks midengined even, you could have at least changed that.
Sorry u wasted your time looking up all those pics , but this concept is in the same theme mine have been for the last 3 years . Looking back at it , yea theres similarities , but Im not stressing . I do these every so often because I like to draw with no benchmark in mind and just post them to for something to look at other than the typical GM bashing threads .

You canniballized a c6 to 4th gen in photoshop ....whats the difference ?

His concepts have had that theme since before the Opel was shown.
The Opel Speedster was shown at the 1999 Geneva Auto Show. Are you sure he drew his concepts over 5 to 6 years ago?

Anyway, I'm not trying to insult you as an artist, the drawing looks great; but I am trying to tell you that you should try to at least make the car proportionate, it doesn't look front engined at all. Even if you didn't copy any of the cars I mentioned; it looks like you did, and no amount of arguing can change that fact. I don't mean that sentence to sound rude, in fact I mean for it to be an encouragement. What people tell you they perceive about your design is sometimes the most valuable feedback you can get. If you just want people to say "great job" and "right on!" you get plenty of that already and it isn't helping you.

What I am doing for you is synonymous to proof-reading an essay for you (even if my first post was a little on the harsh side). I am finding the spelling mistakes, what could be written better, run-on's, fragments, and etc. for you that you aren't seeing. I've been taking art classes for 7 years and advertising design classes for 2 so I've had a lot of experience with people critiquing my work. Sometimes people just don't like it and make that clear to me (usually with their silence in real life). Other times they give me suggestions, or suggest that I think about the look/design of some aspect. Basically, what I am telling you is that the design is okay, but it could be better, and that if you are interested in continuing with this design, you need to think about making it look like a FE-RWD car rather than a ME-RWD car.

If you don't like my suggestions, that's fine, but you should always consider other people's opinions even if you don't agree with them.
