The STS-V will be the most powerful Cadillac ever, and will accelerate to 60 mph in less than 5.0 seconds, GM promises. The same engine will be used in the XLR-V roadster but in that vehicle, it will produce slightly less horsepower: 443 hp and 414 lb-ft of torque.

(These new, odd numbers hp ratings are going to make it hard to remember what has what as far as HP and TQ numbers...

Just makes it a little tougher to remember everything in my head.

Thanks for starting the thread Darth, this is great news an deserves it's own thread. It is interesting the difference between the XLR and STS with the same engine. ULS should get the S/C 4.4L standard since a V12 isn't ready.
God I wish I had Cadillac money

Re: 469 Horsepower
The new hp number could become the next marketing thing. Just like back in the musclecar heyday when we had displacement numbers that rolled off your tongue nicely (396, 440, 426/427), perhaps horsepower ratings will gain prominence.
469 has a nice ring to it.
"What engine that have it?"
"The 469 one."

Re: 469 Horsepower
AWESOME!!!!!!! I was hoping Cadillac wouldn't come to the market with fewer horses under the hood than what Benz has been offering for the past two years. It better be faster than the E55 too. That will require better than a high 12 second quarter mile
