how is he supposed to give data that backs that up? Maybe there has been a survey done by someone somewhere, but other than something like that, how can somebody quantify styling?

I think once that dealers have a few on their lots sales will pick up better than what is predicted. At the dealer by me there has never been one outside on display for anyone that drives by to see. They have one in the showroom but that's not doing any good as far as enticing potential buyers.Shoot, about a block away the local Honda dealership has one in front of their lot.

None. Sorry if I gave the impression that I passed opinion off as fact.

However, if Mustang is traditionally popular with the females and Camaro's numbers were at least as strong over the month, the logical conclusion I would draw is that there was a fair proportion of female customers for Camaro. Time will tell...

Didn't a larger percentage of women purchase previous F-bodies in comparison? IIRC guionM said something about this in the past, usually after somebody says "A mudstain is a woman's car"

Clearly, there is a lot of pent up demand for a Camaro, making it impossible, I think, to predict long term run rates based on two months' sales.
I meant to write that I didn't think rumors will hurt Mustang sales much. That little adverb is important. I also think the new 5.0 should help somewhat. So while I doubt that very many are holding off on the Mustang based on rumors, there should be a bump when the new one comes out, it seems to me.

There are definately more females on Camaro5 (that own 5th gens) than I have ever seen on a car message board.

It's the internet. How do you know that they are not, unshaven, 50 year old men, saying they are young females?

That makes them all the more weird since some are painting their car pink.

My 3 sisters who've hated my 4th gens love the new 5th gen. It's too early to tell, but i think the look of the new car appeals to a wider more diverse consumer base than the 4th gens imo.
