This isn't the first time some so-called automotive writer who ran out of things to write about brought up the idea of a 4 passenger Corvette.
It isn't going to be the first time it's been shot down by margins of 95%+ either.
These type of articles are made to get people riled up and get readership up.
Letters to the editor regarding someone's article make that writer look like he has readership. No better way to prove your value than to strike a nerve and use a few loose or non relevent facts.
GM isn't taking that idea seriously, so don't worry.
