If it has a 6.1L Hemi, I wouldn't complain too much.

 

I'm just waiting for the Voyager/Caravan SRT8. When you have to get 10+ people there....fast! To be honest though, SRT versions of a minivan would be real sweet and I think they'd actually sell. Not in mass quantities, but still. That and everyone will flip there's within days of ownership. Just by pressing the gas pedal, the van doesnt move forward or anything....just automatically turns upside down.

If the van looks like the 300, expect 50 cent to roll up in one with his posse on 28's at launch.

My parents have been loyal, repeat Chrysler minivan buyers since 1985. I mean I barely remember when they didn't own a Chrysler van. If that rendering is close to the real thing, I don't think they'll own another.

 

I think a SRT Hemi Caravan could put an end to rice. I mean what kid would want to build up a Civic or Corolla to run 16's when their mom's minivan is 3 seconds faster stock?

 

 

Is it gonna be rwd?? I'd hope awd. But seriously.. do we need 350hp mini vans? Will they also be getting in the teens for fuel mileage like the 6.1 hemi jeep?

 

THAT'S the big rub. How well would a Hemi minivan sell? Minivans are about function, utility and inoffensive family hauling. I can't see many minivan buyers willing to put up with the awful Hemi gas milage. If they could, why wouldn't you just buy a Durango and call it a day?

 

If the production version looks anything like that, it'll be THE ugliest minivan on the market....maybe the ugliest vehicle. That thing makes the weird crap Nissan calls a minivan look acceptable.

Honest question, when was the last time dodge/chrysler actually designed a vehicle with a decent front end??? That blunt pig'ish snout looked fine on the Ram, but Chrysler/Dodge has run away with it and slapped it on everything they make.

 

I've always thought Chrylser made the best looking mini vans. But that thing is one ugly mother! And SRT, in a mini van? I still don't get SRT Jeep Grand Cherokees and Dodge Durangos.

 

I don't think Chrysler is stupid enough to put the face of their most unique car...on a minivan. I don't think the real version will look like that at all.

That's another good point! A 300 face on the new minivan would certainly stain the street cred of the 300.

If a Chrysler minivan ever gets offered with a Hemi, it is truly a sign that Chrysler needs the Hemi brand stuffed into everything for it to sell.
