300 hp Aura RedLine a possibility.
300 hp Aura RedLine a possibility.
Re: 300 hp Aura RedLine a possibility.
If that car has 300-hp and AWD I would like at that,
but if the super high price tag I've heard is also apart of that..I'm out.
Also if its only FWD, I wouldn't give it a 2nd look.

An AWD 300hp version of this car would be awesome at a starting price point of 25-26k, to beat cars like Legacy GT at their own game. GM seems to be playing smarter with Saturn, so hopefully we won't see a $29,995 MSRP on this car. But GM doesn't play the rebate game on Saturn so the MSRP price is closer to reality than the laughable MSRPs on their other brands.

GM really seems to be able to kick-*** when they put their hearts into something. The Caddy lineup, future Saturn cars, and Corvette all turned out about as well as you could have hoped for.
But then you can see the half-hearted attempts...

One thing confuses me. In this article, it says the Aura begins production this coming summer, yet everything else says the fall of 2006.
Someone want to clarify??

I wonder what this 300hp mill would be. Only N/A GM engine really capable of such outputs would have to be a v8. Other possiblity would be a turbo or S/c'ed v6. Guess will see either a v8 or supercharged v6.
I'm realling liking the new Saturn. The transformation seems to be as dramatic and big as the Cadillac tranformation a couple of years back. I just wish GM would position Pontiac and Chevy is such directions.
Re: 300 hp Aura RedLine a possibility.
GM did 300hp with the old FWD Seville, Deville, and Eldorado. I don't see why everybody is getting up in arms about a 300hp FWD car. I don't recall torque steer being a big deal on those cars.

And I doubt GM has the ***** to give it 300hp. I bet 275hp max.
Re: 300 hp Aura RedLine a possibility.
The 3.6 is a strong engine . I had a Cadillac SRX as a rental last week and came away loving this engine . It really felt like it had a bit more than 255 hp , as the heavy SRX felt qwik at all RPM points and continued to pull hard all the way up 6800 prm . IT sounded pretty cool too , very refined , smooth and high pitched . GM could easily eek out 300 hp from this engine .
