2014 or '15 Jeep Liberty? Or back to Cherokee?

Supposedly, this is the replacement for the Jeep Liberty.

2014 Jeep Cherokee: This Is It

I don't even know what to say. Except, is this a joke? Or is this some sort of Chinese knock-off vehicle?
How is this a Jeep? The front-end is AWFUL!!

I hope this isn't the real deal.

Idk... I think this new one looks mean verses the previous generation which looked girly. Somethings wrong with the proportions though, I think the headlights are too small for the front end it has. But I wouldn't say it looks awful though.

So Chrysler decided to reveal some pics of the new Liberty replacement.
It's confirmed that it will be called the Cherokee.

Autoblog has a story & pics.

I am officially depressed I am going to have to sell these things in a few months.

I now have to tell my LOYAL AS HELL Liberty customers that...

1) You have no 4 low (which, yes, my customers actually use at times)
2) This is FWD and car based
3) From behind the wheel, you cannot see the front end anyways.

I cannot believe Spaghetti Chrysler came up with this

I really feel for you. They completely abandoned their very loyal and strong customer base. Instead of continuing to embrace what sets them apart from the other manufactures, they decided to not only go FWD and car based, but also go with a design that looks as far from "tough SUV" as you can get.

If I were Native American, I would protest this ugly, incapable POS using the name Cherokee

From reading articles, this is a Fiat vehicle that has been rebadged as a Jeep (I forget which Fiat model). This is why it looks so awkward, and like the basterdized Jeep front clip doesn't fit.

Fiat is broke, so they are trying to bolster their profits by whoring out the Jeep name. They have also delayed many new products because of their cash flow problems.

I hope this doesn't turn into another Daimler fiasco.

I started to warm up to the front a little, then I saw the rear.

It might not be a bad car if they put more conventional front & rear facias on it.

It's like they applied everything they learned from the front of the Fiat Multipla to the back of this thing....

The original Cherokee is one of the (if not the) best looking SUVs ever in my opinion. They still look great, even today. Why deviate so much?

I also don't understand why they went car-based with the Cherokee when either the Patriot or Compass is supposed to survive, also. How many car-based Jeeps do we need?
