Correct. Every image you ever see like that ("hero card/brochure shots/web site masthead") that is put out by Chevrolet/GM and probably every other automaker out there is one or the other or both. Countless hours are put into each and every image touching it up to ensure it is as close to perfect in every way. It gets to the point where there is more retouch than original in the image.
That is standard fare for almost all advertising. Do you think all the food, in say, McDonalds ad's are real? If you said yes, your wrong Its perfect plastic food with lots of photoshop work. In the case of cars, it just saves money. An OEM can shoot 1 interior photo from a cutaway studio car and use it to expoit all the many options via photoshop, without actually having to take pictures of each color or configuration or set an elaborate photoshoot up. For instance, the graphite interior photo for the Trans Am in the 1993 brochure. The same photo was used for each year all the way to 2002, and digitally altered to show revisions. These all orginated from the exact same photo. Thats why I asked in another thread, wheres the real pics of these cars at the show?

You got it. For the second half of last year, I was a Digital Project Manager for Chevrolet.Com. My job (among other things) was to manage the assets of what becomes the "Build Your Own" part of the Chevrolet.Com web site. Go to any vehicle on Chevy.com, build a vehicle. Every single exterior angle, and every element associated to it is 100% CG. Probably not a surprise, but most would be stunned to know how much it costs to have them made...and how much is doesn't cost compared to "real" photos of a car.
Half or more of the world that is delivered to the public in corporate ads never existed except in ones and zeros. Most never even know it.

wow, the interior is schweeeet 
The outside looks good too. If I was looking for a 4-door in the $20's, this would be my top choice. Oddly, looks fancier and more upscale than a Regal.
I have the Cocoa-cashmere interior on mine and I get a lot of compliments on it. It pulls pretty decent for a 4-banger too.

Even though it's all CGI, does anyone else see that huge gap between the dashboard and passenger door? Other than that the interior is gorgeous! Way to go GM

What can I say, I kinda like it, all but for the stack o' bricks 300 front end on it. The rear section is real nice though. As for the headlights being a bit BMW, I agree, but that's a good thing. Not bad overall considering the amount of homogenized trash running up and down our streets..
