2013 Honda Accord

2013 Honda Accord hits 36 MPG highway

I'm not sure I like it. It reminds me a lot of the 2006 Hyundai Sonata.

Really blah, just transportation, no emotion to it.

It looks exactly the same as the old one. They just changed to lights to LED's.

They did the same thing with the "new" Civic. Overall it looks the same as the outgoing model, save for very minor appearance changes. Honda has no imagination when it comes to its bread-and-butter cars.

Considering the sales numbers that the Civic and Accord generate, maybe they're just not fixing what's not broken.

It looks decent enough. It won't stand out, but then, that'e the point.

Re: 2013 Honda Accord

Recently, Honda hasn't been on the cusp of innovative design. It doesn't look bad, but it doesn't look like something I'd cross-shop against anything else.

I think it looks pretty good, and I have a feeling it looks a lot better in person.

Re: 2013 Honda Accord

The so called "bland" designs are the ones that stay around when its other "bold" contemporaries have long since died down in the court of public liking.

Radical may be good now, but it fades away rather quickly. Honda has a good formula. It sells. I don't particularly care for the Civic and the Civic-based Acura ILX, but they are decent.

Except it's much larger, much heavier, is much safer in accidents, and has various technologies elements that its predecessors didn't.

But yes, essentially, not a bid accomplishment when strictly comparing fuel economy.

Re: 2013 Honda Accord

This is not saying much because I dont drive this type of car, but I think Honda did a much better job with Accord than GM did with the 2013 Malibu. It kind of puts me in the mind of Acuras before they switched over to the gawdy beak noses. It can still be had with a manual too.
