Nice engine upgrades! Too bad the front end is now hideous.

Wish they would slap a V8 in there, but at least they are thinking about it

The 4cyl. really needed the upgrade. The V6 is pretty impressive, but my guess is that it will cost as much as a V8 Camaro or Mustang.

I'm sure they'll keep the V6 pricing similar to what it is now. Hopefully starting at no more than high 20s. The current V6 starts at $26,750.

I am more excited about the 4 cylinder jumping to 275HP than I am about the slight V6 power bump, or a fantasy 5L production car.

I don't hate the Veloster-ish nose they have grafted onto it, but it was not an improvement over the current one in the looks department.

The only chance it has is if they lower the price. This segment is over crowded and they just dont stack up very well.

I still wish Kia would get a version of this car. I like the styling of their vehicles recently, especially the Forte Koup.

I like the interior styling wise.

what exactly is "accel"? Does it measure G force or something?

Is that a torque gauge ?

Seems like a strange choice for gauges. Especially given the Camaro Torque gauge.

To me I thought it was supposed to be a KIA,then it seems like @ the last minute Hyundai decided to bring the G-coupe into the Hyundai line and now with the update made it more to fit into the Hyundai family tree.

I'm still not a fan of the droopy rear-quarter windows, but otherwise the styling updates don't bother me... its still a bad little coupe.

Ditto. Hyundai/Kia are building some of the best looking cars on the market these days, however the Kias tend to appeal to my tastes more.

and this car should have kept the Tiburon name. It was starting to gain a following & was dropped.

I think the fact that the Genesis is a RWD sports car is reason enough to not call it a Tiburon.

I don't read any other car forums as frequently as this one, but people here complain about names way more than on any other forum I read; and it seems completely unfounded. I remember all the "Cruze" bashing that happened when the name was announced...and it's the best selling car in America

(on a side note, one of the forums I read is a Ford PROBE forum...if you'd expect to hear rational complaining about a car name it'd be there!)

Genesis is a fine name IMO. Just like Sonic, and Cruze. They're car names that will appear to the younger car buyers.
