2011 Dodge Charger
I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't like the nose. To me, the car looks good from all side save for the grill. For some reason it just looks out of place to me. Maybe it's the chrome. IDK. For what the car is though, I have always liked it.
The rear of it looks like pure sex, challengeresque. Now give me the 6.4 with no MDS with the auto since they always sound like ***, and chuck the iron block for aluminum for100lb's weight savings. 2 more years and this is my car.
I'm excited to get it. I wish there was a little bit more revolution instead of evolution in the design, but it isn't like the exterior was all that bad in the first place. The things I didn't like (blunt nose, ugly rear end) have been tweaked and look great. I like the character lines on the side as well.
I met with my dealer rep for a couple hours yesterday, and we went over the re-design and package content of the 300, Charger, Journey, Durango, Minivans, 200 and Avenger...I'm really impressed with some of this stuff. Even the new 200 appears to be well thought out, and will offer 280hp with 29 MPG highway with the new 3.6...nice stuff.

I like it. Glad the 3.6 is the only V6 offered. The 2.7 sucked big time.
I can't even tell when MDS is on in my car, and I have aftermarket mufflers on it. I could turn it off with my SC tuner, but it's not really intrusive/annoying at all.

2.7 V6...crappy 190hp in LXs and JSs (Sebring/Avenger)
3.3 V6...even worse 185hp in Minivans
3.5 V6...marginal 235-250hp in JS, Minivan, LX
3.7 V6...crappy 215hp in Liberty, Grand Cherokee and RWD Rams
3.8 V6...crappy 205hp in Minivans and Wranglers
4.0 V6...larger version of 3.5 in Minivans only.
Why does a Minivan need THREE V6s when I can't even get GM to give me two distinct V8 levels in a Camaro because of certification costs???

Pentastar will now be in everything except the Liberty and Wrangler. I've heard Wrangler will get it for 2012, and Liberty will be re-designed then and will likely get the engine as well. Its interesting to see this engine range from 280hp and 29 MPG in the 200/Avenger up to 305hp with 26 MPG in the LXs. Happy to see the 29 in an AT 4 door sedan (far better than a V6 Malibu), but wish they could eek a little more out of the LXs for MPG...
I really like the new back end and profile on the 2011 Charger. I think the front end could of been alot better though as it doesn't seem to match the back style. I tried experimenting in photoshop with a new front end. I used the Challenger front end, it's somewhat out of proportion on the right side and It's very rough.

That said, I think if Chrysler put out a car with that front end in anything other than a Challenger, it would get raked over the coals for both exploiting the Challenger look and for creating a car that plan looks old.
The Charger's front is a "Love-it / Hate-it" thing. However, it does look modern and it is distinctive. You won't confuse it with some vehicle of the past. It's easily identifiable as a Charger. And it looks modern.
I really like the Challenger. If I were to buy a sedan today, I'd buy the current Charger. Both have distinctive looks and different design themes.
Mixing them up would create a mongrel that simply wouldn't look anywhere near as good IMO.
I much prefer the Charger nose. Much more agressive than the Challenger. Challenger is nice, but it's a bit too 'classy' and 'tame' IMO.
