2011 Dodge Avenger

For the doubters of Chrysler's ability to do goo interior design, check out the difference of the 2010 and 2011 Avenger interior:

OLD

NEW

I thought the newer Avenger was a nice looking ride just needed a better engine. Mini Charger. It's begging for a turbo'd DI V6 SRT version. Should have done that instead of the ridiculous Caliber SRT.

I'm looking forward to getting them in. I'd like to try a black RT when I get one, and see how my wife likes it. Not nearly the change the Sebring/200 got, but then again, it didn't need as much change. If they fixed the power, the noise and the interior, with better handling to boot, might be a really nice car yet...

What I find interesting is detnews.com says that the car got a wider track...I wonder how? Maybe they pushed the wheels out a little further? I know they said it got bigger tires, and is lower

That looks nice!!! compared to the last one. But still not on par with the Cruze or Ford offerings.

I don't doubt that there could be some refinement/NVH/handling deficiency when it comes to the Fusion, but I doubt it against the Malibu.

The biggest shortcomings of the old Avenger are the best things about the new one...or so it seems.

The "old" picture is not showing up but it doesn't matter. That new interior looks great! What engines are going to be made available on the new Avenger? Will there be an SRT model?

The new interior looks good. This is one area Dodge has never been good at. This is a big improvement.

I actually said "DAMN" when I saw the pic. Looks like a great interior. I do wonder why they didn't do more on the exterior. How long until the next full redo?

Not long...like 2012 or '13. Marchionne was given criticism as to why he spent money to "put lipstick on a pig" when the new cars weren't that far away. His response, more or less, was that when cars like the Sebring and Avenger are as bad as they are, the longer they look like that the more damage they do.

I applaud his move. I wouldn't remotely consider a current Avenger or Sebring. A new 200 or Avenger? Much closer. The Avenger has the sporty look the Malibu lacks, unfortunately.

Re: 2011 Dodge Avenger

To me, it looks no better than what the best interiors were doing 5-7 years ago. That's a huge improvement over what it looked like before, but it's not groundbreaking or exciting to me at all.

Re: 2011 Dodge Avenger

huge improvement. Think the car has a way to go though. How it stacks against the fusion, malibu should help illustrate whether they got this one finally even close to right.

Hate the rear end.

Definitely a big improvement and I agree that its better to update these cars sooner than later. But they have a long way to go to win back a good reputation.

Some how or another, the picture didn't stick.

Here's a new current picture to compare the two with.

OLD

NEW
