This is so good to see, seeing that RWD has been neglected for a long time.
I do hope they keep a nice balance of RWD, FWD, AWD, and 4WD vehicles, though... that is the best way to go... something for all tastes.

The next Thunderbid
Impala after next
Monte Carlo after next
The upcoming Buick Park Ave replacement
The next Bonneville
At least one other Dodge 2 door
At least one other Chrysler 2 door
A car best described as a Cadillac CTC
A Chevy version of the "Kappa"
The Buick Regal after this next one.
And at least one new big Cadillac (not necessarily the DeVille's replacement).
These are cars known to be on the planning board, not just pie in the sky guesses!

I still refuse to give up on there not being a new Firebird by 2010. If the camaro sells well for the first two or three years, GM give in to peer pressure and build one
Here's my Dime - 10c
I'll take this dozen
Viper
Mustang
Corvette
Solstice
GTO
Camaro
CTS-V
XLR
350Z
Monte Carlo after next
Impala after next
911
That way you could drive a different car like every other day for a month - for only 10 cents!

Please, enlighten me a little here
I thought T-bird was done after this model? No? Also, is Bonneville saved? I assume it will be on the same platform as the Park Ave replacement? What is known about this car? Many dealers at my time of departure (August 03) believed the Bonnie was on the chopping block...if it isn't thats great news...

When Ford made the announcement it was discontinuing the current Thunderbird, 2 notable things came out. First, that the current Bird wouldn't be discontinued for a number of years. Second, that there would might be a gap before the next one came out (directly from Steve Lyons, head of Ford Motor Division):
"...While it may go away for a short period of time, it may reappear from time to time,..."
It's obvious that Ford was laying plans for a new Thunderbird as they made the announcement since they already knew there would be a gap (in 1997, Ford said the Bird would come back "someday" and "wouldn't be gone forever". Word came out almost immediately the next Bird would go a "different route" than the current 2 passenger convertible. Current wisdom is a 4 passenger coupe or convertible.
The Bonneville GXP is a stopgap car. It was created to maintain intrest, expand it's product life, and to create a stepping stone to the next Pontiac Bonneville which will be RWD (how much did GM spend putting a Cadillac engine in the Bonneville?). Bonneville was initially to be cancelled next year, but instead has been given an extra year, and seems destined to replaced the same year as the Cadillac DTS & Buick's Park Avenue.
Bob Lutz seems to favor renaming cars as they are replaced, so the Bonneville name (just my opinion on this) is likely to be dumped, and replaced with an alpha-numeric name.
